What it’s like to have too many good problems

This is the first time in my life I feel like I have too many good problems. What a weird thing to say and a wonderful thing to have! It’s a matter of perspective after all shifting your mindset to being grateful is the key.

I am not a particularly happy person when it comes to dealing with other people, and deign to leave my room when it comes to being social. I am not shy or an introvert, it just takes a lot of energy to deal with others, because I tend to put my best foot forward.

Here are some journals to get your thoughts in order

But lately, I’ve been changing the way I see connection with others, because I noticed it’s good for my health. Humans crave establishing connection, because it’s how we breed, mate, and grow our traditions and culture.

As a person who was diagnosed with chronic depression at the severely tender age of 12 (the first time I attempted suicide), it feels really good to find a lot of good in my life 15 years later. Things are not pictured the way I thought they were going to be, but it’s not that far off.

I have too many clothes to choose from to wear.

I have to worry about being on time for a restaurant opening my friends are hosting, because they also want to treat me for my birthday.

My clients are always wanting to spend more money on me and ask for my advice.

Loved ones are asking me to spend even more time with them.

It never ends. And I hope it doesn’t.

How to create visually positive thoughts

It’s important to visualize what you have by physically writing things down. Not just typing it out, but writing needs to be processed through the brain before it reaches the fingers. It’s been scientifically proven when people take notes handwritten versus typed, they retain the information better, because the brain has to think about what is being written

Things I’m grateful for:

  • Family who wants to make dinner for me just to see me
  • Friends abroad who want me to travel and see the world with them
  • This blog so I can express myself freely and connect with you
  • My macchiato I made this morning that is so delicious
  • Having a washing machine in my home with clean clothes that I don’t have to pay extra quarters for
  • My health
  • My gym membership to keep up my health and feel beautiful
  • Being able to journal whenever I feel like it with my favourite Moleskine

The list goes on. What are some things you’re absolutely grateful for? I’d love to know your thoughts below in the comments. We should practice expressing our gratitude daily, and get used to seeing the silver lining of what could be such dull lives.

Thank you so much for taking time to read the end of this post. I hope you find some inspiration in this and feel free to share with your friends as a free way to help my blog grow. Your support is endlessly appreciated.
