You might be absolutely swept up in the feeling a guy makes you feel when on a first date. He’s charming, attractive, makes you laugh — all the things! But it’s important to not swoon just yet. Going with the flow is everything our body is not telling us when our hormones are screaming, and we really do want a relationship.
The whole point of the first date is getting to know someone. Sure, you want a relationship. But how do you know if this is the right guy? Vetting is a process. Erm, I mean dating haha. We have to really take the time to understand who it is we are seeing, and truly find some depth to see if we fit with this wonderful gentleman!
It’s a matter of meeting each other in the middle – if you are on the same page that is. Or at least in the nearby vicinity of where you both want to be. Remember, you’re just getting to know the person and opening up a little bit of who they are. Your brain might be saying you want to be with this person, because they’re physically attractive, but learning their values and proclivities to really see if you guys are meant to stay together longer is a whole procedure.
Date Looks
It’s just the first date. Take a breath. Look as cute as possible. If he’s not what you’re looking for, you can always walk away, be kind, and smile no matter what. What constitutes a bad date for him (or most people) is just the system of getting to know someone. You understand that. If he’s high caliber, he will understand that too.
Have a fabulous first date!
