Here are my everyday essentials I personally curated for my capsule wardrobe.
It took years to put this together and understand signature style. I literally wear these actual items everyday, so this is weird haha. These vision boards have been in my phone for a while now to get me inspired to mix and match pieces for an outfit.
I thought I’d share them with you here in case you are new to my style and have zero idea what you are in for when following me on LTK @giagdixon.
These are all brands I continuously shop from as I’ve leaned into supporting American, high quality, sustainable brands–for the most part. I’m endlessly inspired by classic elegance with feminine touches of soft color and fitted silhouettes.
You will find luxurious staples to wear on repeat for all occasions. Disclaimer: This post contains affiliates. Read full disclosure here.

Workwear
Workwear is one of my favorite styles of dress, because it’s a fabulous excuse to be put together. If my personality was an professional wardrobe, this is what it would look like. And this is what mine is made of haha.
If you wear these styles together, you will not only show that you are a powerhouse in the workplace, but should be also taken seriously when it comes to presenting yourself well. Your team can always rely on you to show up on time and be the best dressed.

Starting off the week right in neutrals helps you and those around you ease into the week. It’s a stylish start using soft colour psychology. As an etiquette consultant, it’s imperative to think of those around me and how they will react to how I present myself.

The second day of the work week is always a great time to make a statement. Whether you’re at a new job, or showing up to your 1,000th day of work, people always remember the second outfit you wear, because the first is all about warming up to your features and personality. This is the time to be memorable.

Day three at work is when I’m peacocking my personality haha. I’m making jokes. Building rapport. And showing consistency in how simply decadent my wardrobe is in quality and style. *Wink*

Surprise. Day Four. Just when they thought I was opulent with the patterns and prints, I remind those around me that elegance can be simple. Not to mention timeless. Anyone in any age and body shape can wear this and look like a million bucks. When I don’t want to wear trousers, I slip this skirt on.

I like to end the work week with consistency in silk, wool, and leather. A personal brand has been established in the office, and people know what to expect from me next week.
Day Off Adventures
Being casual does not mean giving up entirely. Weekend excursion-wear is simply a variation of polish with natural fibers and unpretentious elegance. Here is my take on relaxed sophistication.

This ensemble feels so comfortable when I wear it, and looks expensive when others see it. I used to think elegance was outrageous, colorful, and wild. This outfit proves grace can be found in simple and casual pieces.

Everything about this screams ADD TO CART. Each individual garment and accessory is a subtle statement on its own. The monogram tote, for example, is a little touch meant just for the person using it. There are so many small, tasty details that are a nod to those who pay attention to the little things.

If I had to quickly step out, this is what I would wear. On a casual date with my husband too. If we’re going for a stroll in the greenery, a quick slip-on off this and we’re ready to go! Isn’t it easy when you have high quality clothes and good style? This is what I normally wear when I’m at home on a day off.

Countryside chic
I love the countryside. This is where I actually put the most and least effort in dressing up. What do I mean by that? Some of my highest quality pieces are in this section of my wardrobe, because I thought about it for so long. It’s my favorite place to be after all. Since I put so much effort into these looks, I have to think the least when putting them on.

People wear too much browns, greens, and earth tones in the countryside which makes sense. But I like to add some colour that is easy on the eyes so I’m not completely camouflaged and a tractor doesn’t run me over. This is my yard-work look.

This is my shooting outfit. I like to wear a cardigan during target practice, because I can remove the layer in case it gets too warm. When I’m using my husband’s rifle, it can be heavy and it becomes a workout. Instead of bringing a satchel, I can put shells in my boots. The hat is perfect for driving without a brim disturbing the back of my head against the chair, and having 20/20 sight when spotting a clay pigeon.

Currently, I am still shopping around for some good quality breeches before I recommend them to you. This is my equine-inspired outfit for when I’m not riding. It shows that I ride, but is not entirely utilitarian. In other words, the dressed up version of being on horseback.
Day Date
Occasionwear is where I used to go crazy. These days, I look for simple silhouettes to let my figure do the talking and bright colour to highlight the celebration being attended. Breathable fibers are a must, because how else would you dance all night?

DATE NIGHT
I used to buy an extravagant dress, wear it once, and then get rid of it. Now I’ve been more aware purchasing something I can wear over and over to many occasions, and style them with high quality accessories I regularly use in various ways. It disguises the fact that I’m wearing the same dress, and gets me to think creatively with what I already have. Works every time.

Sleepwear
My pajama collection is the most expensive part of my closet. It’s what I spend the most guaranteed time in, so it has to be amazing. It’s also a Dixon clan tradition to give and receive pajamas during the holidays. This set is insanely comfortable, and I have them in all the cutest colours!
