For those of you who have not been following me or know me personally, I have visited over 40 countries by the 23 years old, and if there was one thing that could make or break my trip, it was uncomfortable shoes. It does not matter how cute they are, they are not worth taking on your travels abroad.
Which brings me to the ultimate question: how to fuse comfort and style with travel shoes?
It obviously depends where and when you are traveling. But for Spring and Summer adventures by the beach or sightseeing, a flat woven look is all the rage on trend, but has actually been something I used to wear all year round living in the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles.
In especially equatorial climates, weaves with a straw make are breathable while leather is comfortable and ages well. Tropical weather calls for open toes, and sometimes low heels for an evening if you do not want your feet to bleed (this has happened to me many times). You can always go from day to night with a neutral shoe, especially when in close proximity to a body of water.

When it comes to bags, I like to have some structure, but not too much that is is uncomfortable. I also like to opt towards smaller pouches, because this means people will not ask me to hold all their things for them on holiday. It is supposed to be relaxing — not hurting my shoulders, because you want to carry a bottle of water along with a map of the place. You have pockets, please use them.

I also feel that a breathable bag makes sense somewhere warm that does not make all your tech and beauty products melt inside its casing. Looking cute in a new place and unfamiliar environment is hard when you do not remotely look prepared. Light neutrals keep things cool, but also are versatile with your accompanying sunshine styles.
