When I shop, I’m always on a specific mission. It’s never a matter of browsing — don’t get me wrong, it does happen — it is typically trajectory. Micro mini skirts have been the story of my life since I was born in 1995 and wanted to be like the singers on MTV in the early 2000s.

My cousins and I tried to dance like Britney, sing like Christina and lead the pack like Regina George. Pink and micro mini skirts were in. But I wanted to bring a grown up, casual revival to the Y2K styles. The truth is, my whole purpose for this haul was to find a pleated mini skirt I could wear with my elegant work tops, but I ended up going on a summer shopping rampage. It happens!
I learned a lot about myself and what I would wear in this haul, but most of all, wanted to relay these fabulous trendy styles to you.

The reason I stick to so much ecru and cream (or any type of off white) is because I wear tons of colour. Black or anything dark brings down the tone and makes me look more serious. I like to keep it light so I don’t get too hot in the summer and to stand out in the cooler months. White really freshens the colours and makes them appear more vibrant. The shade also goes well with everything in my closet!
This dress was a serious nightmare for me as my measurements are 32F-24-35. If you have a smaller chest, this dress will definitely be more flattering on your shape and easier to put on. This ribbed mini skirt on the right net to the dress is so comfortable. I see myself having all kinds of casual outside summer adventures. It’s so stretchy, thick and flattering.

Having the proper under garments and shape tape to stay modest keeps the ensemble entirely polished as a whole. This requires a little help! These are my absolute go-tos when it comes to staying sane, moving around and being comfortable when dressing up. I know these styles are on the shorter side (revealing your legs is perfectly up to you), but I still want you to keep things under wraps where they need to be. It’s a touch more elegant.
