Blustering conditions call for high quality loungewear. Or homewear as Intimissimi likes to put it. I quite like their take on what should be worn at home and under garments in general. A little bit of luxury goes a long way with their pieces that can be worn as pajamas to sofa readers. Also known as trousers, because I like sporting them on the sofa with a good article. Where to begin? It is difficult to pick a place to start prattling on about, because everything is so practical yet luxurious.
Mr. Dixon says that it is a good thing I spend so much on pajamas, because it is one of the main types of clothing I spend most of my time wearing. The trousers were the purpose of this haul, and there is nothing that whispers comfort more than silk. It is breathable and congenially forgiving to one’s skin and figure.
As someone who gets gifted every holiday season a pair of pajamas, these are well worth thinking about giving during that time of year. They have matching camisoles on Intimissimi’s website, and other beautiful silk designs garnering visits as they go in and out of stock. I even found myself coming back for the other colours, and the neutrals were not enough. Hoping for more options in the future, these sustainably made trousers are something I should stock due to their affordability and previously mentioned benefits.

There were a handful of cosy separates I had my eyes on, however, I settled for the items I could get the most use out of. This meant garments that I could wear in and out of the house as base layers underneath the vehement Winters. Here, in the unpredictable twelve season of Kentucky, being prepared is one thing. To wear what you absolutely need, love, and know you fantastic in is another story.

The fit on these trousers are not the most flattering for my shape, and are not something I plan to wear in public. The only reason I can see myself in such a display would be on a long haul flight, and only on the flight. This entails business class seats minimum that recline back for sleeping. I have zero intention to wear pajamas in public ever. However, these can pass for something extremely casual so long as the gathering of the waistline is covered. I feel like those are the giveaway for pajamas.
Mixing and matching separates for loungewear and especially pajamas is one of my favourite things to do at home. Sometimes the temperatures are simply unforeseeable, and there is nothing I can do about that. However, I can control my body’s temperature with the right materials and prevent the spread of bacteria with these antimicrobial fibres I am in love with. The first time I found Intimissimi’s homewear line was Googling cashmere clothes to wear daily.
Not knowing what was going to come up, I was expecting three hundred dollar sweaters and higher price tags. These less than two hundred dollars one hundred percent silk trousers and modal cashmere blend tops for less than fifty dollars blew me away. I love the elegant colour options, and was inspired by the Italian styling. It is more sensual and grown up next to a pair of long sleeve piped pajamas. Refinement in your wardrobe makes you act differently when you are donning an outfit of a certain calibre.
I was a little bit disappointed at the fact that the cashmere was so thin. You could see everything underneath my clothes when I dressed myself in the cashmere modal blend top. It is quite sheer, and I find myself reaching for this less than my other everyday tops. This is meant to be worn with a bra, or as an under garment for layering tops. I typically wear this alone with a bra at home, or under a sweater or dress shirt if it is particularly biting.
This stated, this is my second time purchasing this boatneck cashmere long sleeve, because I could not get enough of the classic style. As I moved from Hollywood Hills, California to Lexington, Kentucky, it made more sense to dress more conservatively, and enjoy the natural luxuries of this buildable outfit piece. I do not dare wear it to work, and always have some sort of coat over it when wearing the ladylike cut in public. However, at home, I am freely stretching and enjoying a cup of tea to add to the atmosphere of extravagance.
The same idea goes for the high neck long sleeve. I love the colour and have never seen an oatmeal flaxen marbling like this pattern before. It is one of my favourite base layering pieces for any activity outside below seventy degrees. The tops are my two favourite items and multiples well worth another purchase in this haul. When I find something I love, I stick to it, and this is one of those reasonable staples I can justify without trying to convince myself.
