I have a huge surprise for you guys coming really soon! Developments are always on the rise. I feel like every month there seems to be something new and exciting to keep you on your toes. This is the best feeling — having something to look forward to!
The feelings of starting fresh are especially amplified because of the new year. What are you doing in 2023 that you are excited about? I would love to know more about my wonderful readers in the comments below and wish you the best. It is truly always a pleasure to get to know your thoughts.
Here are some things to look out for in the new year! Meaning this January 2023:
- My new wardrobe
- A new business venture I started
- Our new healthy weekly routine — I’d like you to join me in this!
The new wardrobe
All black. Yes, I said it! For all of my fantastic followers and readers who have been keeping a close eye on me for the past year know that I have not worn black in about 7 years or so. I get tons of compliments in it, but I feel it is too severe a look for everyday, and a bit aggressive. However, I need that power when it comes to my new business venture I started to be taken a bit more seriously.
This is why I got myself a whole entire new little capsule of workwear that is elegant, and practical polished daily wear. You can expect a lot of navy and black, silks, slinky materials, pumps, blazers, midi dresses, and sweetheart neck lines. Oh and decadent pearl jewellery along with more costume pieces. I am even seriously considering a dark coat just so my white coat’s lint does not get on my new dark clothes.
Even my makeup is going to be a bit more vampy than usual. A severe look indeed, but for some reason it does not look that Halloween on me, because it is still in my colour season. It simply looks like a deep red lipstick look that is moody and natural to my tone. Funny how our complexions work.
A new business venture
Recently, I started real estate school. Well, earning my license to be specific. Studying has been something I have been pushing myself to do vehemently every day. It is difficult yet rewarding. I learnt so much so far, and validated bits of what I already know. When taking a course and you find out you happen to have the knowledge being shared, it means you are headed in the right direction. Now it is time to action it.
For those of you who are not familiar, I have been in real estate for years as it is. It is not something I regularly talk about, because talking about investments is rather boring. It is fun to me, my family, and friends who thoroughly enjoy discovering new ways to purchase land, discuss orchard plans, and farming in general. My online platform is more about style and high quality living. I guess this will be something I add more onto the internet as it grows and goes.
Also, Kentucky is a wonderful state. So many things are free, it is so clean, the air is always fresh, there is barely any smog as back in Los Angeles. Living in the hills makes you see the literal cloud of smog over the city skyline.
It is also very green here. Something we do not have in Los Angeles, because there is a drought. The only areas you will find possibly some trees is Beverly Hills and the Hollywood Hills, but even now it is difficult since you are fined $1,000 for going over your watering limits. It is a nut case over there, and I am glad I left. Every little thing is controlled.
Here, people are exceptionally kind, going out of their way to help you, be ladies and gentlemen, and everyone has a sincere general smile on their face and pep in their demeanor. I feel like I am in Copenhagen in 2019 before things blew up. It is a wonderful feeling to hear ‘Merry Christmas’. Almost a sigh of relief at nobody getting offended. People mind their own business, and have good attitudes.
Our new healthy weekly routine
I created several schedules. Yes, I am that level organised. Being ten steps ahead makes me feel at ease, but it also gives me panic-attack-inducing levels of anxiety when things go unplanned sometimes haha. It happened the other day and I cannot stop laughing about how easily stressed I let myself get hahaha.
Weekly routine 1: productivity
Shortening the amount of studying and work I have in the morning is priority. I have to work as hard as I possibly can for a shorter amount of hours in the day, because I promised my husband that when he gets home in the afternoon, I have to stop all work and we spend time together as a family.
This means getting up a little earlier, being more effective with taking notes, and being efficient when working on the easy grunt work that can be multi-tasked. I created a whole habit tracker of things that NEED to be done every single day, so I do not have to think or try to remember imperative tasks.
There is always so much to be done:
- Photo shoots
- Graphic design
- Reading for fun on my own
- Creating outfits
- Organising my whole closet all over again
- House chores
- Meal prepping
- Taking care of the cat
It never ends. This is only the watered down version of the list. Furthermore, this gives me so much purpose! I love doing all of this, so it definitely does not feel like work sometimes. Enjoying the process puts a smile on my face.
Weekly routine 2: working out
My new treadmill finally came. I will have a whole review for everything I mentioned in this blog. It has been here for three days, yet I have only used it once haha. I am going to work out first thing today. My husband just left for work, and I got up this morning to check my to do list and get started today with a coffee.
The trouble is remaining consistent. I know what I have to do. I am familiar with the rewards that come with blitzing myself in a workout. Doing it everyday is the hardest part. I have to set my emotions aside and just do it no matter how much pain I know I will endure. People say they want to live a long life, but what they miss out on is living a long HEALTHY life. There is a big difference.
I would love for you to join me. For a while now, I have been thinking of creating some workout content and collaborating with other health and wellness creators for this. More coming soon!
There is so much fresh air here, land, different weather (meaning different outfits), love in the air, positive spirit, and I have everything I need and ever wanted. This is the happiest I have been in a long time.
I am living the life.
