Welcome to 30 Days of Beauty where I review products I’ve tried for at least 30 days. Don’t worry, some products I’ve stuck with have been in my life for 5-6 years including this Hanalei Lip Treatment!
This beautiful lip mask in Rose is my all-time favourite, because it’s so nourishing and affordable considering I’ve tried Laneige’s lip mask treatments. My lips just peel after those endlessly, and I’m constantly making that funny face when biting my lip skin off. It’s highly unattractive.
Hanalei is such an underrated brand as I first discovered them on Amazon. You can check out the store here.

Things to know about Hanalei as a brand:
- They are cruelty free.
- They use premium island ingredients.
- Their products are gentle on every skin type.
- They’re woman owned (woohoo!).
- And they handle easy returns which is a plus.
But I doubt you’ll be returning this lip treatment. It has kukui oil, grapeseed oil, and shea butter. It’s so soft to the touch, a little goes a long way, and there are new shades.
I love rose, but am going back to stock up and buy all the shades, because they’re quite sheer and each shade is so pretty. Usually places do obnoxious shades of pink or too many nudes that all look alike on most skin tones, so I don’t understand that.

They have a lip treatment in shades
- clear
- rose
- mauve pink
- pumpkin spice
- peach pink
- sand
The reason it’s so moisturizing is because it has kukui oil from the kukui tree and is rich in fatty acids and Vitamin C, E, and A. They come in sizes that are 15 grams (large) and 5 grams, which is what I have. It doesn’t only moisturize, but it soothes more than anything which is something I love about it.

A lot of lip mask products have the moisturizing factor, where it feels rich on the lips for a bit, but then after it hurts again immediately once it’s gone. This could be after a kiss, some sips of tea, or chatting. But this really penetrates my lip skin, and calms it. I feel really enflamed after using other lip treatments for some reason. I can’t put my finger on why.
With big lips, and being a luxury tinted lip balm freak, I usually have a hard time finding something affordable yet substantial in performance. This is something I keep coming back to specifically at night before going to bed, because it’s so rich and I really want it to sink in. The Hanalei lip treatment for me is an automatic obsession.
Have you tried any of Hanalei’s products? What are some lip masks you’re currently obsessing over? I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments below!
