Gentlemen always make reservations for a date or meeting

Why would you want to have a woman running your life who tells you where you eat, what time and where? Do this on your own.

As an etiquette consultant and a human being, I have seen it all. I am married to the most wonderful gentleman who is on top of these things, because he thinks ten steps ahead. But beside that, I have been on dates years ago where a guy would talk up how he is going to wine and dine me for weeks. Then when the night comes we go to the restaurant, and it’s a forty minute wait. All because he didn’t make reservations.

Most ladies take a bit of time to get prepared mentally and physically taking care of our hair, skin, body, outfit — the works. If a lady’s hair is long, add another twenty minutes or more to her routine in getting ready for this day. Her discomfort in heels standing outside in the cold does not only mess up her hair and hurt her feet, but also dampers her mood.

If you want to take the lead as a strong gentleman on a date, be decisive and cut out awkward moments by being prepared. This calls for absolutely anything. You always have a plan B. So one tip as a gentleman, is to plan ahead, take charge and make reservations.
