Dresses & 2 piece sets
This is the time for colour, which means more seasonal-wear! My seasonal pieces, to be specific, are dresses. Most of the items you’ll see outside of dresses and two pieces sets — when it comes to my wardrobe — are capsule classic garments. Now that the weather is warmer, it’s time to show off the legs, while you still have young, gorgeous legs, and mix up florals with fuzzy cardis, and make a statement!

Cardigans
When in doubt, throw on a cardi! These are a must in my wardrobe, but I tend to treat them more as a seasonal garment, because I live in LA. This just means I tend to go wild on patterns, textures, and design when it comes to cardigans, because they’re the top layer that everyone will see. I also tend to buy more of them, because 1. I’m petite. Structured jackets swallow me. And 2. They bring some life and colour back to the cold weather. The key is to layer. Even if it means more than one cardi!

Tops
When I have a formula, I stick to it 100%. I found this long sleeve top from SHEIN in grey originally. After purchasing one, I bought 7 more. SEVEN MORE. It’s insanely soft, comfortable, and if you live in a cold weather region — a perfect base layer. I initially bought it to wear in Denmark on a trip, and got so many compliments. I went back for a third time to buy all the colours that suit my tone. Also, tank tops are a significant part of my capsule wardrobe, because I live in Los Angeles and generally don’t like underarm sweat. I like to layer a tank top with a cardi, rather.

Comfy knit trousers
You can’t go wrong with a pair of properly comfortable pants. I absolutely detest denim, because of how stiff the material is and just flat out uncomfortable it is when sitting and constant readjusting. Anyway. I have a capsule wardrobe staple of four comfy knit trousers I reach for almost everyday. They’re my day trousers when running errands and working from home.

Bags
I’m not a fan of huge totes, because I’m petite and they drown me. They also cover my outfit. But I was in desperate need of a sturdy tote to run errands with. My other tote is too large, and I think is just meant for travel. I had to pick myself up off the floor when I saw this gorgeously striped Dune bag. The Tory Burch bag is my go-to for all things drinks, dinner, and dates with the hubby.

Shoes
The big spring trend right now is platforms. More specifically, mary janes. I’m obsessed with mary janes, because they’re perfect for cold weather to cover your toes so you’re not freezing, and because they make it easier to walk. Just as a heads up, I’m wearing the Gwen platform from Free People, and they would not stay in stock. I have alternatives you can shop below, along with some other platform mary janes I purchased from Nasty Gal for a fraction of the cost!
