DECADENT Amazon Jewellery Haul: These Look So Expensive!

I was thoroughly and pleasantly surprised with one bauble impressing me after the other. It has been a while since I purchased jewellery that was not exactly plain. The relationship between gorgeous shiny things and me has been strained due to the fact that even though I was living in Hollywood Hills, crime is rampant in Los Angeles. It was said on the news to stop wearing jewellery to reduce risk of being attacked by homeless drug addicts. There were several scary stories I will not get into today.

In my post of Things I No Longer Buy, cheap jewellery was one of the items that did not even cross my mind when it came to this affordable haul of costume gems. I put that in the list, because my mind wandered to the time I used to wear a handful of rings that turned my fingers green and made me disappointed at the end of a hot day. So far, I have been wearing these pearl necklaces and evening earrings daily since receiving them in their parcels.

Nothing makes me look more done up in the evening than sparkling eye-catchers even when I am at home by myself. My house guests have noticed this as they have stayed overnight. They were initially given the impression that I am an expensive person showcasing my collection during their visit, but then realised this is simply something I don regularly. I am consistent in my habits when it comes to style as stated in The Uniform.

This haul started off for two reasons:

  1. I wanted to dress up in the day to elevate my winter wardrobe that can get monotonous.
  2. I needed earrings that didn’t weigh down my ears and hurt my lobes after many bloody incidents.

On a day that I am not sporting any of these brilliant stones, I typically wear my gold hoops my husband gifted me years ago. These are gold through and through, dented from wearing them to sleep with my lap top, and holding them for my future granddaughter in the meantime. These are my heritage hoops that will always have a special place in my heart. Sometimes I think I do not want my husband to purchase my more jewels, because he constantly presents me with the most amazing ornaments I cannot remove my sights from! It is difficult when a handsome man offers you the world to wear.

Something that rivals these irresistibly lightweight gold masterpieces are my new clip on earrings in a dark grass green gemstone. The setting is similar to a beautiful design from Alexis Bittar without the price tag, and stand out on every skin tone. Green is like purple. One of those colours that looks absolutely beautiful on everybody, because of the mix of a warm tone and cool tone. Red and blue. Yellow and blue. It stands out in an absolute manner, and I cannot stop wearing these! My piercings are not bleeding from wearing heavy alloys weighing my lobes down. It is depressing seeing your ears after a night out at the opera.

The next decadent favourites of mine are the pearls. There is nothing that goes day to night better than a string of Ceylonese deep-sea treasures. Obviously, they are not the real thing. I kind of prefer it that way knowing I am supporting a small business (all businesses start small) on Amazon, avoiding risking the lives of many diving, and farming oysters. I am not against any of those things, yet appreciate the fact that these were easy peasy to make and wear. I cannot be more grateful for the selection these companies have available. I went down a rabbit hole on Amazon sitting on my sofa for what felt like an eternity, finding cherished riches over and over again.
